Rick Dawson
California State University
|
Rick is the Coordinator of Student Recreation at California State University, Monterey Bay. Rick has been working in the outdoor recreation and education field for more than 19 years. He has held various leadership positions that have enabled him to integrate his passion for student development, outdoor education, program development, expeditionary learning, curriculum and instruction. Rick has been at the forefront of developing new programs in outdoor recreation and education since 2000 and has extensive experience in program development, curriculum design, and educational leadership. Rick has worked in public, private, and higher education leading schools in the design/redesign of program and curricular models
Rick earned his B.A from Marist College and completed his M.Ed. with distinction at Northern Arizona University. Rick is an avid skier and paddler and can be found enjoying the coast, lakes, mountains and rivers of the West, Northeast and Southwest with his family.
