CONFERENCE MEALS



Accommodating the dietary needs of almost 1,000 attendees is always a challenge that we take on with pride. We want everyone to come to the table. We want everyone to feel safe while eating onsite. We do everything we can to ensure our attendees have great dining experiences. Each venue we work with has unique ways to address allergies and dietary acommodations. This year, working closely with the Spokane Convention Center's caterer, Centerplate, we have established the meals outlined below. We have requested that the convention center label everything on buffets to clearly mark common allergens. If you are unsure of something you see, please ask the catering staff to assist.

Special dietary requests, allergies, etc? Please note that we have only accounted for dietary accommodations for those that requested it during registration; if your specific dietary need or allergy is not easily accounted for in the menu below, expect an email on Friday, November 8, 2019, with additional details on how to get a meal suitable for you.

Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019

Continental Breakfast, 8:00 - 9:00 AM

  • Individual yogurts (gluten free),

  • Sliced seasonal fruit and berries (gluten free) with sour cream - brown sugar dip,

  • Bagels (ALL are dairy-free, nut-free and vegan) with cream cheese,

  • Coffee, tea, fruit juice and infused water

Opening Night Celebration, 7:00 - 10:00 PM

  • Bruschetta and Flat Bread Appetizers, served with extra virgin olive oil and a variety of toasted flat breads; Specialty toppings include: hummus, herb roasted eggplant, tomato caponata, green olive tapenade and fresh tomato basil and garlic,

  • Fresh Vegetable Crudité and herb dip

  • Cash bars

Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019

Continental Breakfast, 7:00 - 8:00 AM

  • Individual yogurts (gluten free),

  • Fresh fruit,

  • Fruit and nut bars,

  • Coffee, tea, orange juice and infused water

Exhibit Hall Lunch, 11:15 AM - 1:15 PM

  • Choose from one of three delicious options; each comes with chips; soda and water available as well

    • Black bean salad (gluten free, dairy-free, nut-free, vegan)

    • Southwest chicken wrap with salsa aioli (gluten free wrap, dairy-free, nut-free)

    • Chicken caesar salad (dairy-free, nut-free; croutons contain gluten)

Awards Banquet, 8:00 - 10:00 PM

  • Salad - butter lettuce and curly endive with goat cheese, dried cranberries and sherry vinaigrette (gluten free)

  • Entree - grilled tri-tip steak and seared Pacific salmon, finished with a red wine sauce and a citrus beurre blanc (gluten free)

    • Vegetarian/Vegan entree - roasted vegetable and herbed basmati rice with roasted turnips, butternut squash, carrots, fennel, zucchini, raisins and chickpeas

  • Sides - roasted red potatoes, brussel sprouts with cranberries and onions

  • Dessert - flourless chocolate cake (gluten free, nut-free)

    • Dairy-free and/or Vegan dessert - dark chocolate laced berries

  • Freshly baked rolls with butter

  • Coffee, tea, water

  • Cash bars during the awards reception and banquet

Friday, Nov. 15, 2019

Continental Breakfast, 8:00 - 9:00 AM

  • Fruit and yogurt parfaits; granola and nuts on side (GF granola available)

  • Sliced seasonal fruit and berries with sour cream - brown sugar dip

  • Variety of breakfast breads to include gourmet scones and muffins (gluten free options included)

  • Coffee, tea, water

  • Orange juice

Lunch Buffet, 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM

  • Pear and walnut salad

  • Tomato and basil bisque and grilled baguettes

  • Ravioli with creamy mushroom and asparagus

    • An alternative entree will be served to those attendees needing dietary accommodations

  • Caponata flat bread

  • Brown butter, artichoke and lemon linqguine with chicken and olives

  • Cider glazed brussel sprouts

  • Artisan rolls and butter

  • Huckleberry cheesecake (gluten free)

  • Coffee, tea, water

Demo Day Snack, 1:15 PM

  • Hot chocolate and apple cider

  • Donuts from Hello Sugar (includes gluten free and vegan varieties)

  • Coffee drinks available for purchase

Wednesday, lunch is on your own. We invite attendees to work on partnering up with someone, either as a student and professional match-up, job-alike match-up, or anything else that stretches your comfort zone just a bit and allows you to meet someone new! Use the mobile app chat room to network and find a lunch buddy for Wednesday!


Dinner is on your own Wednesday as well, so take advantage of the local food options and go explore the city!
