Fundraising Tips and Tricks

We believe that everyone in the outdoor recreation and education industry, including you, is important and should have the opportunity to attend the AORE Annual Conference. Fundraising is a great way to create community buy-in for your trip or conference, and not to mention, help with costs. One of the most important keys is to start early! You can fundraise through various sources. Below, you will find information to help make your fundraising experience both fun and effective. There may be more funding, resources, and ways to save out there than you think and we are here to show you some of them.

Justification Letter

We understand that with limited travel and training budgets, receiving approval to attend the conference may be challenging. Attached is a sample justification letter to help you with your request. Consider making your case by adding specific context and explaining the benefits and ROI for both you and your organization that you will receive by attending. We hope to see you in Spokane!

Unfortunately, our application window is now closed and we are no longer accepting applications for scholarships to this year's conference. Please review our Justification Letter and Fundraising Tips above for alternative ideas for conference funding.
