How does the committee's work help support AORE's strategic anchors?
Much like the national census going on today in the United States, the Research and Publications committee is collecting data on Campus Outdoor Programs across the country. This data is now being compiled into a report for presentation.
Join committee members for a webinar on May 13th from 3:30 - 4:30PM EST, where they will share the initial findings of the census data collection of Campus Outdoor Programs (COP). Presenters Drs. Genevieve Marchand, Erik Rabinowitz, Forrest Schwartz, and Andy Szolosi, will cover the following topics and more:
- COP annual budget average
- amount of revenue generated on average
- number of trip days in the field
- who does the COP report to
- what percent of the program's budget is funded from (i.e. student fees)
- how many staff are employed
The committee's advocacy work will allow for the development of a baseline of data on Campus Outdoor Programs so that AORE member programs can see where they stack up in comparison to the national sample.
