LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Inviting a local representative to welcome our attendees and share more about the land we are using and the people it belongs to
Encouraging every education session presenter to include a statement of their own homeland acknowledgment and/or their ancestry
Carving out a session block for a deeper look at land acknowledgment
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Each large meal session will have compost, recycle and landfill bins with volunteers helping attendees properly sort items for proper disposal
Compostable service items where possible
Large water refill containers for attendees to use their own containers at (glasses or recyclable cups will also be available)
Reduce printing and paper use by designing one program guide with basic schedule information; we then leave all the details on the mobile app and website for viewing.
Name badge holders are biodegradable
Name tags are recyclable; we also printed double-sided to increase the usability of the paper
Session signage is condensed so that less paper and printing is done; all signage is recycled
Large signage is printed double-sided for less waste
